A Weary World Rejoices
I don’t know about you, but for me and many others the question may be what do you mean “A weary world rejoices?” First, let me discuss weariness. Anybody just wore out by life, bills, sickness, economy, getting older, dreams being broken, and pressures of life, more difficult than ever? Got the point? Weariness, but in the midst of this weariness how can a world rejoice? Only by knowing and holding to the precious gift of Jesus. I can rejoice in what Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.” And so shall we. So many people have said to me this year “I just don’t’ feel like celebrating Christmas.” I relate, it has personally been a very different and difficult year for me and my family. But, how can I not celebrate the greatest gift that was ever given, Jesus, who is the Savior for all the people. As long as I keep this in mind and not all the other pomp and circumstance, I have reason to totally celebrate. To use an old phrase that fits, “Jesus is the Reason for the Season”
